What is a zoom microphone? A zoom mic is a transitional multidirectional mic consisting of three cardioid capsules and a phase correction circuit. They are synchronized with camera zoom lenses to transition from omnidirectional to supercardioid polar patterns as the camera zooms in, syncing visual and auditory perspectives.
