The My New Microphone Story
I started My New Microphone in September 2018 as a side project to help make extra income online. I've always been fascinated with audio technology and have worked a lot of different jobs with a lot of different equipment. The original test was to see if I could make enough to buy a new microphone (I had my eye on a Rode NT1-A, to be specific).
From these humble beginnings, I was able to build the website up to a full-time income just before the global pandemic happened in 2020 (I also got myself that NT1-A)!
In that same year, I founded Fox Media Tech Inc., which now owns and operates mynewmicrophone.com
After writing over 1000 articles on various topics within the audio engineering field, I started focusing my efforts on teaching music production, which is my favourite topic. This included starting my YouTube channel and the Fox Music Production blog.
Not only has the blog, I hope, helped searchers find the answers to their questions, but it has also helped tremendously in my own life. Deepening my understanding of the tools of my trade has proved invaluable in advancing my career.
My big goal is to build my own production studio and understand everything about audio. I want My New Microphone to be the ultimate source of information on audio and sound and provide lifetime value to my readers.
